This training covers:

  • Early labor guidance from home

  • Timing the transition to the birth center

  • Understanding common birth center protocols, and

  • Navigating transfers when needed.

With this training, you will feel confident in your ability to provide seamless, informed care from a client’s home to a birth center setting. 

This training is free for members and $25 for the general public.

Evana and Alex

Presented by: Alex Flanagan and Evana Cooper

Alex Flanagan is a CAPPA-trained labor and postpartum doula and is certified through ProDoula & ABI. She is also a certified HypnoBirthing childbirth educator. Born and raised in South Jersey, Alex believes that birth is the most transformational experience one can have, and her passion for women’s health led her to found of A Beautiful Birth NJ.

Evana Cooper is a proud South Jersey resident and devoted mother of four with over 15 years of experience in birthwork and education. As a certified monitrice, labor and postpartum doula, and childbirth educator, Evana has supported over 300 families, advocating for their needs at every stage. Evana currently serves as the Director of the Doula Program at all three Virtua Hospital campuses, where she fosters collaboration between hospital staff and doulas.
